MG MGA - Seat base
| Looking at fabricating the seat base per Barney's plans. Why does the metal pan have to be from perforated metal? Not sure where to source it.(Ontario) |

| Art, These and others are often listed on eBay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MGA-MG-seat-base-basket-screen-aluminum-PAIR-New-/370479857421?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item564251ff0d . I assume the perforations are to allow air to escape the cushion when one sits down. My metal bases are also in bad shape. Let me know what you end up doing about replacement. PS - finally got the cylinder head you sent me rebuilt and reinstalled. With Barney's advice I also got the timing gremlins ironed out. Thanks a bunch! John

| When you sit in a wet seat you will soon realise why the metal is perforated!! Barry |
