MG MGA - Radio Noise Suppression

Hi all,

This weekend I enjoyed my MGA on a couple of drives.
One thing though that started to get annoying was the Ignition noise on over the radio, particularly at low RPMs.

I installed a modern but inconspicuous radio straight into the fusebox but on to the non-fuse side, since the radio has its own fuse.
I get this noise only on the radio, no on the CDs.

I was thinking of installing one of those cheap noise suppressors/filters like;

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007V5X4U/ref=s9_simh_gw_p422_d0_g422_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0DPCC0C5N7DZKX3CKJTV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

I was thinking that one of you has probably done this already and has some recommendations.

What do you think?

That filter is to stop noise from coming thru the power wires. If the noise is only in the radio and not on CDs it is most likely not coming from the power wires and that filter won't do much to stop it.

If it is just in the radio it is most likely being radiated from the spark plug wires. Are you using resistor spark plug wires or resistor plugs?
