MG MGA - plinths

Is there a trick to installing 61 rear light plinth on there pads. Pads width minimal

You may have to cut a slit vertically in the middle of the pad. Leave about an inch at the top & bottom.

Pete,
I complained to Cecelia about these new pads being too narrow (1600 long ones)over a year ago. She said that no-one else had mentioned this problem to her. If yours were not from SF, my guess is that they are all buying from the same source.
Saw an article in MGA! magazine by Butch Smith where he cut away all the inside of the pad leaving just a strip around the edge, i.e., like "piping" only, and then fitted these pads.
This is a minor irritant, but yet another example of the suppliers (usual suspects) accepting unusable parts from the manufacturers.
