MG MGA - need paint finishing advice----
hello all-I painted my MGA a couple of years ago with two-part clear coat----I would like to finish things up this summer by wet sanding and buffing in effort to clean up some swirl marks and other blemishes, but am unsure of the method that is correct-----curious if anyone had a link to a good article that might give me some guidance-----thanks in advance

Tom, The Dream Car Garage web site used to have a link to Norton, manufacturer of sandpaper, polishing compounds, etc, and Norton would send you a CD showing how to use their products. I used to have this disk, but can't put my hands on it at the moment. You might want to try the Dream Car Garage web site or Norton web site. Cheers, GTF

Tom, I located the CD (thanks for reminding me) and it's called Clear Choice Liquid Abrasives. No doubt, an ad for Norton abrasives but very informative. Shows which abrasives to use, what buffer and speed to use, which pads to use on your buffer, what technique. Do not know if it's still available and don't have a better link to give you. If all else fails, I might be able to burn a copy and send it to you. GTF

Tom, One more thing, most Base Coat/Clear Coat systems recommend that you do the buffing work soon after painting. Once the paint cures and fully hardens, it much more difficult to buff out the imperfections. Cheers, GTF

Tom try www.autobody101.com. I'm painting my TF using bc/cc and find the site very useful. Andy
