MG MGA - I no longer belong here
After 7 great years woring on a driving my 58 MGA the time has come to part ways with her. She sold on ebay (where I bought her) the money has been paid and she will be picked up on a flat bed this weekend. She was a fun car but times have changed and toys need to be more practical. Thanks to everyone for all the help. I will miss you all. A special thanks to Barney, your site was very helpful at all hours of day and night. Safe driving Russell

I would imagine that whether you feel you belong on the MG BBS or otherwise, everyone would still make you welcome Russell. You will have to tell us about life Post-MGA, whether you made enough profit on the car to cover the cost of all the work that you did to the car (doubtful I expect) and finally, what kind of car you decide to get next. (if any!) Colyn

Russel, Of course you belong here! Just like the Marines, there is no such thing as an ex MGA owner. And, regarding the statement "toys need to be more practical", horsefeathers! Toys are never practical. That's what makes them fun! Cheers, GTF

GTF - "horsefeathers" - what a brilliant expression - will have to use it - often . To Russell - welcome back any time - you may find yourself getting nostalgia for your old MGA and want it back all too soon.

Russell, practical toys are never as much fun as the impractical ones. Cars seem to have a habit of calling you back after a few years so we may yet see you back again?!! My wife said I should also get some more practical toys so I am now restoring a 2+2 e-type!!! Boy has she regretted that statement!! Neil
