MG MGA - Front Splash panels

Has anyone installed these Moss after market splash panel seals?

It appears that the the mounting portion, where the holes line up to accept the rivets, will lay across the forward facing side of the splash panel. In this Scenario, one would see the rubber seal mounted onto the panel, as well as the extended portion of the seal that touches the fender. Does this make sense?

If that is the case, I presume the finished end of the split rivets should be installed so that they are exposed to the fender well.

All of this is correct. See Barney's site for installing the split rivets; it shows the original method for fastening the rivet so that each leg maintains tension on the seal.
