MG MGA - door seal
I have fitted a new door seal, but there is a small gap in one area. It is because the trim pushes too far down on the flange. What can I use to pack the seal, to raise the height in this one area. I was thinking of using some silicone sealant.

It's somewhat difficult to visualize the problem you describe, Nigel. Perhaps a photo would be a help. Ken

Nigel, be cafeful with Silicone selants as some of them are corrosive.

Hope this helps. The seal alongside the screwdriver does not meet tightly against the door when closed. If I raise the seal it does, but I can't fix it in position, hence the idea to put something on the seam of the sill to hold it up.Oops! I can't upload a picture, sorry, the file is to large!!

Nigel, you can download a free programm called VSO Image Re-sizer (or similar ones) which will modify the image to allow you to be able to upload it successfully. I use it often as I always forget to change the picture quality size on my digital camera. You can reduce it in steps until the picture is small enough to upload. Colyn
