MG MGA - Differential sun gears - query

I have a 3.9 ratio differential with 25 spline (wire wheel) axles in my MGA and have procured a spare 4.3 diff that I wish to use for hill climbs, etc. but it has 10 spline sun gears! I have today found (at a reasonable price) a set of 25 spline sun gears that are worn noticeably on one side - is this a problem if I reverse them so that the driving gear face is the good side?

I notice that new 25 spline sun gears are not generally available from the major suppliers and if they are they are rather expensive.

As long as they're not that bad that they have weekened the actual strength of the tooth, If they have just gone through the hardfacing they will be ok.
Not the ultimate choice of course but we turn them over in fourwheel drive offroaders all the time and they work fine
