MG MGA - Cheap English Wheel
I went down to Harbor Freight last week to look at their larger shrinker-stretcher. They had their small bench English wheel on sale for fifteen bucks ($179.00 on their website) including the top anvil and a full set of dies. http://www.harborfreight.com/bench-top-english-wheel-97359.html Yes, it is cheap and poorly made but it will nock dents out of sheet metal- I used mine to smooth some hammer work on a tight radius where my big wheel can't reach. I little time reinforcing and reducing clearance would really help. The price sign said it was on sale until 28 October. Have fun, Bill

You mean $15 as in one-five?

Yes, 15 dollars. I went back yesterday to get a second one so I'd have extra dies to modify but they were out. It has been discontinued at our retail outlet. I have the "big" wheel they sell. However, it can't get be used on tight radii. The little one isn't stiff enough to stretch steel but it does a good enough job smoothing hammer marks where the big one can't get to. Bill

You got a real good deal. Lucky you were in the right place at the right time. I get sale notices all the time from Harbor Freight, this must have been a local item only, didn't see any mention of it either in the local store or on line.
