MG MGA - chassis gauge?

What is the gauge/thickness of the chassis material?

George, Barney knows this, I asked him some time ago. The answer may even be on his site.

16 gauge 0.060"....................Mike

Most of the frame is 14-gauge, 0.075" thick, 3 pounds 2 ounces per square foot. All of the under body structure (body sills, door posts, inner fenders, front air pan and boot floor) is 18 gauge, 0.048" thick, 2 pounds per square foot. Don't skimp on metal thickness in structural parts.
