MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZT190 Steering
Got a zt190 which pulls slightly to the near side, its been back to mg dealer 3 times had tracking, autoaline, and finally two new tyres replaced on front, 500 miles into the tyres it still pulls slightly to the nearside, anyone had any similar problems,i feel the hyd valve in the steering rack may be causing the problem, it is quite suseptable to road cambers. Your constructive comments please Nigel

ask the dealer to loan an identical car, and then travel those same roads to establish there is a difference on your car, next, ask the workshop if they can adjust the wheels to allow for road camber.

I had the same problem from new, i sent mine back to the dealer who said there was no fault but it kept pulling to the near side. after 15000 miles i needed new tyres all round and the tyre co. said the car needs setting up by the dealer as it seems from the ware pattern of the tyres, it was bad from new. ( i had a zs 180 before and got 28000 from the same tyres) Edwards of stratford then put the car on their system and found the rear set up was out and did need adjustment ( so much for the original dealer) the car now seems better but i still get a slight wabble and pull towards the kerb at various speeds and road surfaces, it is a little annoying but unless anyone has ant ideas i will have to live with it. dave

I suggest that the rear is looked at not the front as this appears to be something that is becoming an item popping up on several cars, enough to point the magfnifying glass towards the rear. Rog
