MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZT Message display problem

After starting my car today the upper message display failed to come on, after stopping the car the distance and trip recorder back lighting stayed on, even after removing the ignition key and locking the car.
I suspected either voltage dip coursing an indeterminate state, or Voltage transients during engine cranking /starting, resulting in the instrumentation processor locking up, I found by briefly removing fuse 29 (effectively reset) cleared the problem. All is now well.
