MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZT Front suspension strut bearing
| Anybody had problems with the top bearing seizing on the front suspension strut? The symptoms are a clunk (caused by the spring coil jumping) as the steering goes over centre (from left to right). Mine has been doing it on the right for some time now so I need to fix it before it wears a hole in the spring pan!! So has anybody out there done the job? I do my own servicing now since being let down by so called newly set up helpfull MG Rover service centres!!! Geoff |

| Geoff, I have heard over on the 75 & ZT owners club forum of people suffering this problem, not sure if anyone is tackling it DIY. Mind you, anything is possible if you have the right tools, and the Haynes Manual for the 75/ZT. I have just replaced the cooling fan motor and controller which includes removing the entire front end. |
