MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZS boot problem solved!
| I have the solution to the boot problem on the ZS. It's quite simple and I won't even charge MGR for the idea. On the bonnet of most cars you have a bonnet stay - this holds the bonnet open. Why not have a boot stay on the boot of the ZS? A simple solution if ever there was one. And whilst you wait for MGR to produce this wonderful solution you can make your own boot stay quite easily by going to your nearest hardware stoore and buying a broom handle. Cut broom handle to appropriate length. Then wedge broom handle between boot lid when open and floor of boot. Hey presto, problem fixed! ;-) Ps. I fitted a Trophy boot spoiler to my MGF and that occassionaly smacks me on the back of the head too........ |

| MGs had "boot stays" LONG before the Z series came into existence. Unfortunately, I'm sure they've decided that "boot stays" are obsolete and should be replaced. LOL! |
