MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZR---urgent advice needed

Further to my post of 17th Apr,this morning I tried to change the engine oil and filter on the ZR. Having managed to get the sump bolt to turn(!)a fraction I tried to get the oil filter to undo.Not a chance.Tight as hell BUT of course it,s now a bit buckled( but not terribly bad) so the question is ,is it ok to drive the car(slowish) to the nearest garage some 13 miles away for them to loosen the filter slightly such that I can carry on on my own( bearing in mind I have to come 13 miles back to instal the new filter and oil)? Seems a bit daft taking the new filter with me to put on with the old oil still in the sump. After worrying some I started the car and nothing seems untoward but I am worried that the oil pressure might be affected by the buckled filter.Any advice please folks.

Sorry it's a daft question but it's the heat today you know.
