MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZR odometer showing '2222222'!
| Just been to test drive a 2002 ZR 105+ 3-dr in Trophy Blue (£6000) that is for sale locally. Nice car, but while driving along the Odometer suddenly changed to "222222222222". On stopping the car and restarting it the display went back to normal. I have looked through the MG RAVE CD but can't find any reference to this. I think it may need a new dashboard display, but the owner did say that the battery had been flat during the week and it had been jump started. The CD had also lost its code. Anyone come across this one? The owner is going to have it looked at on Monday. Otherwise, nice car, but a couple of tiny dings in the bodywork and first service done by a local garage and not a main dealer. There was a peculiar light brown sludge deposit under the battery and along the chassis rail which I took to be dried up coolant after a leak, but couldn't see anything - wierd! Tempted to walk away!
