MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZR clutch judder
| Anyone had clutch judder with their ZR? And is there a remedy for it? We've had a new clutch cable which cured the problem for a week but now it is getting really worse.....mainly when the engine is cold. regards Martin |

| Had the same problem on my 214 Labrat. terrible judder at very low speeds. If you burned the clutch a bit it would ease off, which made me think that a little engine oil may be leaking onto it. But there was no oil on the floor under the car. the clutch was ok in other respects and wasnt in any danger of failure. I did 10k miles like this and I beleive that the next owner of the car hasnt bothered changing yet either, it's just one of those things. I fiddled with the clutch cable but it didnt really solve the problem, just allowed me to feed the dodgy clutch in a bit easier and reduce the juddering a little bit. The truth of the matter is that the only cure is a new clutch! |
