MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - window came out runners

I have a problem with my 45 the drivers window came out the runners when some one tryed to brake in. It has electric windows the front runner rubber was damaged and has came out of postion. I cant quite get the window to stay in and go up and down one of the greem plastic clips holding the glass is also broken. I have fixed similar problems in metros and montegoes no problem. With them the runners can be moved back and then the glass inserted and then tightened up but in the 45 the runners dont seem to move they are fixed any ideas any one also when i get new clips how do i ensure the class stays in them some sort of glue?

Have to agree the Glass on the Montegos is relatively easy to adjust or replace when some scroat breaks it in an act of theft. Most of those little jobs on the old Montegos is a pleasure to do compared with some cars I could mention.

Can't help with the R45 windows as I've never had trouble with my similar ZS ones. Cant be all that different surely. Why not visit your local breakers and remove a glass from one of their R45 cars. Not only will this save you the trouble of repairing your damaged one, but in removing the glass from the breaker car you could learn how to fix that in your own car with no risk of damaging it. Windows from local breaker cars cheap as chips - up to a tenner - Remove it yourself basis - which I prefer for obvious reasons.
