MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Whining & dyning

Subsequent to the death of my MGF (cam belt tensioner disintegrated) I have bought a ZS180. I seem to be getting a lot of tyre noise on certain road surfaces, particularly the stretch of the M25 between the M11 and the A10, is this normal? The noise is an annoying whine at around 80mph.

Pirelli or Michelin tyres??

Some specific road surfaces do generate a drone on my Michelins, especially on concrete surfaces.

Roger, they are Michelins. And it is on concrete surfaces that I get the droning noise.
