MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - starting fault

i have a mg zr 05 plate tropy 1.4.
when i try to start it intermittently it will click as if the starters siezed. when you wiggle the live wire off the battery to the starter it will start. i have checked the connections at both ends and had the starter replaced by an mg garage still no luck. has anyone had this problem with there car if so would much appreciate your help.

I've had a similar problem on my ZS a couple of times. The culprit is the spade connector on the starter motor. It just needs pulling off, closing up a bit, and then putting back on.
