MG parts spares and accessories are available for MG T Series (TA, MG TB, MG TC, MG TD, MG TF), Magnette, MGA, Twin cam, MGB, MGBGT, MGC, MGC GT, MG Midget, Sprite and other MG models from British car spares company LBCarCo.

MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Spares availability?

Have been reading the thread about problems with the central locking on one of the Z models and the probable delay in obtaining a replacement part.

Following on from this situation it occured to me to put pen to paper so to speak and ask the knowledgable contributors on this site what they see as the present situation regarding the availability of spares for our marque and whether original suppliers are still manufacturing 'replacement bits'.

So far I havn't required anything for the ZT so I am probably not helping the economics of the respective organisations - but who knows in the future.

Barry, I have a ZR160 here in Aussie. Anything I have wanted, I have contacted Rimmer Bros. in UK (they have a huge website)..they carry a large range of late MG Rover stuff, and have been extremely helpful with enquiries.

I own and run an XPart AutoService Centre in Kent. The vast majority of parts are available - XPart themselves claim that over 95% of parts are available. Our experience is that there are a number of high profile parts that are not currently available - including the MG ZR/Rover 25 superlocking door lock and Rover 75/MG ZT suspension top mount bearing.
