MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Road tax not as bad as some

The ZS180 is a bit of a thirsty beast with a CO2 rating of 227, but then the engine is getting on a bit and MG Rover bless their cotton socks didn't really have any money to develop cleaner engines. But this weeks Sunday Times In Gear tested the Vauxhall Insignia 2.8 V6 and that has a CO2 rating of 272!! Whose going to pay £400 road tax (and rising) for a Vauxhall? In the same magazine the Porsche Cayman S with a 3.4 V6 only outputs 214 with tax at £210.
