MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Riley One Point Five
Sorry to list this on the Z forum but the TD guys have been very helpful to me and I was hoping there was some info floating around. Does anyone know anything about the Riley One Point Five. What their rarity or worth is? I may have come across a 4 door RHD. Can they be converted into a left hand drive? Supposedly the car has been in a warehouse for 20 plus years, has not run in awhile & has some rot in the floors. Are there replacement parts available in the USA for the body? I know it has an MG engine in it but that is all. Does the differential swap out with a TD for better driveability of the TD? Thanks

I think that this is posted in the wrong forum. This forum is for the modern range of Z saloons - ZR, ZS & ZT. I believe the forum that you need is the Magnette one. The Riley 1.5 is basically the same car as the ZA and ZB Magnettes. Ralph

The Riley 1.5 has the same engine as the 1500 MGA. Other parts such as the diff are used by the MGA and Magnette boys. There is no commonality with the magnette as far as cody panels are concerned. There was a Wolseley 1500 version which is detuned. There is a small following for these cars but they are sought by the MGA boys as well for the parts they yield. More about Riley can be found at www.riley.org.uk
