MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - rattle on the main manifold ZS180

rattle on the main manifold bin told that can take out the main rod in manifold system and replace to make maniold system work as normal any input?

Sounds like the inlet manifold has given up. Quite often the rod that connects the butterfly valves pops off. If you have the right tools it can be put back on. I would not recommend removing the rod with the standard ECU, as the mapping is set up to use the change in inlet manifold tract. Without the change in inlet manifold tract you will lose power above 3,500rpm (or thereabouts). Your ZS180 will be reduced in power to around 120 bhp!
