MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Oh what fun we have .... dee, dee, dee, dee deeee

Earlier today, returning with my son from a short shopping trip, I noticed an Anthrocite MG-ZR rapidly approaching me in my rear view mirror. I mentioned to my son to have a look and as we waited at the T junction lights, I could see in my mirror that she was a good-looking, well groomed, going places 28 something babe at the peak of her wossname. AND in her new MG. That D reg Montego is holding me up Sir! ... came to mind sort of thing because as we moved away and both turned left at the lights, if she was any closer to my rear she'd have to marry me! Impatient females - dont you just lurve 'em! Straightening up, my son giggled as he said "floor it dad". Well what would you do? So I did. In second with revs building, I did as requested and the turbo immediately came on song. That MG-ZR and its good looking babe-pilot were soon small objects in my mirrors now. Later, approaching a steep hill there she was again close to my boot. Now there are some steep inclines over those lovely Cotswold Hills and this was one of the steepest. So, I repeated the dose and soon left Madam well behind.

Cant tell from the front so no idea what spec said ZR was but it was well driven and nippy.

After this little episode, I said to my 17 year old son that it's times like these when I wish I was thirty years younger. He'll understand one day ... :o))

P.S. Cant remember seeing an Anthrocite ZR before.

Anthracite is the best colour for the ZR IMO. Of course a babe improves the effect even more.

My son is 20 months old, and whenever we stop at lights he goes 'vroom vroom!'. Heredity in action.

Talking about bikes. I auctioned two small new old stock 1960s Honda motorcycle plastic tank badges some time back. They went for 97 and 79 quid respectively to bike restorers who'd been searching for these items for years. Dont throw any motoring stuff away until you know their true value. Both items went stateside and in due course I received pics of the restored bikes. Superb stuff. For crissakes that's more than I paid for my favourite MG Montego Turbo with some tax and long MoT!! funny old game ...

First one I've seen: triffic .... and that babe - dbl triffic .
