MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - MG ZT Diesel tunning ?
which BMW diesel engine is it exactly thats fitted in the 135 diesel and does anyone know of a anyone who has gone to 150bhp or more ? My company scheme looks to preclude me fron a 190 v6 as the milage allowance is so low that they have managed to make it a diesel choise in any car . any help gladly recieved as this is now gonna be an imminent purchase.

The BMW unit is 2.0L and is restricted to about 110bhp by BMW. However, MG R have chipped it up to 135bhp. There is a Midlands based company that was featured in one of the last few issues of MG World that had chipped it up to about 160bhp I think. Cost wasn't too bad either. Hopefully someone will remember the name, but yes, it can be done. Martin

is this the same as the current 2.0ltr 320 diesel engine or an older one ? basically i have looked at what super chips off and it does not make much sense buying the 135 over the 116 as they both can be chipped to 142-144bhp for the same cost ,so in effect i save the diffrence in cost between the 2 models.

Yeah there was a feature on that dutch company and the results were very impressive made a huge difference to the performance I cant remember the name either though but at home I have the last issue. the person to ask this question of is Grand Wizard of the Darkside Dr Bob who is often found in the MGF Technical BBS.
