Pretty fair, although a bit repetitive. I found the original model's slightly softer suspension was better over typical urban roads with humps and pot-holes than the face-lift model I have but not over-soft in more spirited driving, in the short experience I had with the earlier model. Interior and external styling of the later car is far better, I even got used to the 'lard-arse' rear very quickly which at first I didn't like, and I much prefer my lip-spoiler than the 'in yer face' bed-tray. I find I can feel the 3-stage variable intake system quite noticeably during brisk acceleration, but despite it's apparent 50% higher bhp over my V8 the V8 definitely throws me up the road faster, with it's 193 ft.lb. compared to the 177 of the ZS, proof that torque is a better measure of actual performance than bhp. My only criticism of the ZS is those piddly horn buttons which you have to look for to see where they are at anything other than the straight ahead, you need to move your hand unless you drive holding the bottom of the wheel, and need a precise finger tip to operate. Anything would have been better and safer than that these days, where unless you sound your horn before an impact, even if you are entirely innocent, you will be held partly to blame - wheel centre, stalk end, or even a dashboard switch all of which stay in the same place.
