MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Hot Rear Wheel
| Having just completed a 350 mile journey in my ZS 120 (mostly motorway driving)I checked around the car and found that the nearside rear brake disc was extremely hot,it was not the case with the other wheels. The same symptoms were evident on a short local run.The car seems to steer and brake normally. Has anyone else had experience of this? Dave |

| Sounds like it is binding. If disc they are sliding caliper which I have found *are* prone to binding (on other cars). Otherwise could be anything to do with the pistons or handbrake binding, it is a matter of getting in there and seeing what's stiff when it shouldn't be. I've been putting a smear of grease on all metal to metal contact points in both the front and rear brakes of my MGBs for years, now that is specified in the manuals. |
