Reading in the Sunday papers, it is reported that :

MG Rover's reputation in Britain might be in decline but they're still very big news abroad.
Europe's biggest motoring organisation, Germany's ADAC, has bought a fleet of 100 ZR's to train drivers.
They'll use the 131mph ZR160 !

It goes on to report ( in true British motoring journalistic style ) that, the writer thinks :

The Renault sport Clio 182 Cup is a much better handling hot hatch and at £13,800 is more than £1,000 cheaper.

Is it any wonder that the British motoring industry is so poorly recognised when our own journalists put in comments like that, rather than applaud or recognise the statement of trust placed by ADAC.
