MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Dumb K Series question

Please don't laugh but the 1.6 and 1.8 litre K series share the same cylinder head don't they?

Except for the 1.8 VVC - which is unique.

Interestingly, a VVC would fit on a 1.6 - but I guess that the engine management system may need to be re-mapped?
