MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - BTTC TV Coverage at Brands
| Enjoyed the ITV3 BTTC recorded action at Brands Hatch - Always my favourite circuit, particularly the Grand prix one. A whole hour of coverage this Saturday afternoon. The MGZSs showed well in both races, they appear to be improving but then, so are the main opposition. It appears anything goes in these BTTC races. With any front wheel drive car, all you need do is nudge the inside rear quarter of the car in front and invariably that goes sideways, then off the circuit at a tangent. Car behind inherits the lead. Another benefit of this 'accidental nudge' is the use of the car in front as additional braking. So, leave it too late on the brakes (deliberately?) obtain extra braking and guess what, you're in the lead. Just another racing incident .... no way!! Somehow, I don't think that is racing .... | The MGs exhibited great track presence I thought! Warren Hughes drove a stormer,he at least he was able to drive over the kerbs unlike the Civic which bounced out of control almost! Kelvin |

| Too right Kelvin. Warren Hughes was "man of the match" on the day IMHO. Drove a blinder in both races, especially after only just making the grid for the feature race following his last minute engine change in the paddock. Turkington was holding on with grim determination too until those cheating V***halls stitched him up. There's hope for this season yet, I reckon. Diggers |
