MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - blocked ZT washer bottle
Hi All, Just to let you all know the outcome of the blocked washer bottle. Having been left standing a container of windscreen washer fluid (ready mixed not concentrate) was poured into the res. With it went a load of fungal growth, this of course blocked the washer. To unblock the washer access can be made by taking off a small black plastic cover underneath the front bumper on the offside, and removing one screw in the wheelarch incover to gice access the sceren washer pump which is a push fit into a rubber grommet/filter combined. clen said grommet and refit pump and all screws, washers like new !!! Time taken 20 minutes in all. Regards Mike ZT180+ , M1 VJN

I worked for a Vauxhall main agens some time ago and a common complaint was poor or inop washers. The pump had a very fine gauze filter fitted to it which quickly clogged up. Cure.... Take the pump out, CUT the filter off and no more trouble! Mark.

Mark, In this case I think it would have clogged up the pump itself then what do you do ? Mike.
