MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Alarm

Hi
Should a 54 plate ZR160 alarm/lock its self after 25sec ? and should it do it with keys in ignition!
Any had this happen ?

The ignition immobiliser should activate, but that's all. If it has locked the doors and activated the full alarm system with the keys in the car, then this would appear to be a problem!

I've got one of those, and it is designed to reactivate and lock all the doors after 30 seconds, but only under certain conditions.

Did you turn the key, or just place it in the lock?
