MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ABS warning light

This is the amber warning light near the imobiliser LED.

Usually mine comes on with the ignition and goes off a couple of seconds after starting the engine.

Sometimes it then comes back on again when I have started driving.

Sometimes it stays on when starting the engine.

And onece it has gone *off* while I have been driving.

Any ideas?

Hells Bells that is pretty dire for four years old! The ones on my 18 year old Celica were in better nick than that. It's not actually done it since the rain stopped, so I'll see what happens when it starts again. I'll also be looking at those toothed rings as well!
