MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - A sedate drive in the NZ countryside....
| Some of you may recall that I convinced MG Rover NZ to lend me an MG ZS 180 a few months ago to enter into the Narva Tour part of the Dunlop Targa Rally (http://www.targa.co.nz). Well, I've fnally managed to sort out some video footage from a couple of stages. The idea was that we went though the stages first under closed road conditions albeit at legal road speeds. However, a blind eye was essentially turned so long as no one was being stupid. For the footage, the camera was mounted in a Peugeot 405 Mi16 which followed the ZS I was driving. Note that as it was not my car I didn't drive it that quick out of respect and also at the time it only had some 1500km on the odo so the engine was nowhere near run in. Still, some awesome roads and great to be able to take corners knowing that there is nothing coming in the other direction My aim is to enter the main event when the 220 is completed, but that is probably a couple of years off yet. In the meantime, I hope to enter the Tour again this year - in my GTi albeit in road trim. Gary http://www.220gti.co.nz/images/MOV00149.MPG http://www.220gti.co.nz/images/MOV00150.MPG |

| Hi Gary, are you going to Masterton? How about taking your vidios with you, on CD or laptop. There will be many people interested in seeing them down there. Bit slow on a 56K line.. Cheers, Neil |
