MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - 1.3kseries turbo = 450bhp

The title of this thread sounds insane, but there is a lotus elise out there with a 1.3 (destroked 1.8) k series turbo engine that puts out 450bhp. The engine cost about £35,000 approx and runs on Omex engine management, the car has broken a few class lap records and was entered into the bright on speed trials beating an f355 by 3 seconds. The down side to this performance is that the engine has a life of about 100-150 miles

Kv6 in an 800, yes, maybe, but not in todays machinery.

Wow - and I thought that the Janspeed developed 1.4 K-series turbo, as installed into the EX-F speed record car @ 328 bhp was potent!

Probably not the ideal car to go shopping in though. ;o)
