MG MG Y Type - Y's from space (on Google Maps, that is)
| Strange images are known to appear on Google Maps, but I have found a Y-type, photographed from space (or however they produce these images)! For privacy-reasons I won't give the address (maybe you can give that yourself if you read this), but it might be fun if we all check our own addresses to see if more Y's (or other classic cars) were caught on film this way? These pictures are always taken in good weather, so who knows? |

| You can see the top of the head of a YA and YT owner in NSW, Australia if that counts. He is at the bottom of his garden. Looking at my house I just see an oily patch on the drive, made by another Y owner of course! |

| If any of you poor saddos out there are desperate to see it try pasting this in to Google Maps satellite http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=%3Ff%3Dq%26source%3Ds_q%26hl%3Den%26geocode%3D%26q%3Dhttp:%252F%252Fmaps.google.co.uk%252Fmaps%253Ff%253Dq%2526source%253Ds_q%2526hl%253Den%2526geocode%253D%2526q%253Dls270rf%2526sll%253D53.881274,-1.265488%2526sspn%253D0.210874,0.533524%2526g%253Dls240rf%2526ie%253DUTF8%2526ll%253D53.739044,-1.604403%2526spn%253D0.000413,0.001042%2526t%253Dh%2526z%253D20%26ie%3DUTF8%26t%3Dh%26z%3D20&sll=53.739014,-1.603163&sspn=0.000413,0.001042&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=53.739043,-1.604387&spn=0.000413,0.001042&z=20 You can see the brown Y type and my blue modern eurobox standing in front of the garage. I understand that the close up pictures are not actually satellite pictures but photographs, which explains why the car still shows even though, sadly, I sold it in June, and it's now in Northern Ireland. As a former Y-type saddo, I'm afraid that I still visit the website. michael |

| Not sure which location Ted is referring to (maybe Ted can email me the link off line please??) but for those unable to get the link, and also for posterity since the picture will at sometime be updated and the Y lost, here is an embedded image for ever. Maybe I should start a new page on the Y website? Only joking! Regards Paul
