MG MG Y Type - YB rear brake shoe pull off springs

I was flabbergasted that I was quoted £15 for ONE of the long brake pull off springs for the rear brake shoes on my YB - I would have thought these would be a few pounds at most! Surely they are common to many other cars and must cost all of 50p to manufacture...apparently the shorter rear brake pull off springs are even harder to find? Comments please.

I am just about to buy the front pull off springs for my YB and found that on the Brown and Gammons website for the TD which should be the same the springs are less than £8 each.
