MG MG Y Type - YB rear axle stenciled?

On the TD/TF a lengthy thread is developing about the stenceling of 'TD' and 'TF' letters on the rear off the diff housing (how 'anal' can you get, talking about stenciled back-ends...?).

The question is why where they stenciled in the factory, something everybody is agreeing on that they did so.
I ventured that it might be to differ them from YB axles, because I think they are wider than the TD/TF ones.

Logic would dictate that the YB axle was stenciled, too? Can anybody confirm stenciled YB rearaxles? Look in the TD/TF thread for examples.

Can anybody confirm that the YB axle is the same as the TD/TF item, only wider?
