MG MG Y Type - YA 1950 for sale
| Whiling away a few spare minutes on the internet, I found this 1950 Y Type for sale: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/88834. I have no interest whatsoever in this car, I just found it by chance. It was the claim that fully restored Y Types are worth up to £15,000 that attracted me, particularly in view of earlier discussions here about Y Type values. It does look to be in good condition though and probably well worth the asking price. Mike

| Yes, looks like a good buy. Do we know of it on the site register? |

| I emailed the details to Jack Murray. He did know of the car from the last time it was offered for sale in 2002 for £4050. |

| Hi Dave You can find it on the following site: www.vintagepetrolpumpcompany.co.uk . Based in North Yorkshire price circa £4350. It's difficult to say quite how good it is as I seem to be unable to enlarge the picture beyond standard, It appears that there may be some filler in the rear wings and as is mentioned on the website the chrome bumpers are available. Quite how much re-commisioning is needed is hard to say - brakes are mentioned - which probably makes a price of around £3.5- £3.7k a reasonable bid. I doesn't memtion whether its on a V5 to retain the registration number. It looks as if new furflex has been fitted and the front door interior panels refitted with new vynl but no storage pockets. The seats seem to have a different base colour from the back. Needs an MOT as well I guess! Sincerely Jerry |
