MG MG Y Type - Y/T Instruments

Over the years, many people have asked me to verify various instruments on eBay and other sites as to their suitability and correctness for use on their MG Y/T.

Although there is a good section on this in Let there be Ys, there is also a great article in John James Totally T-Type 2 August 2011 Issue 7. For those of you who have not yet subscribed, it is totally free and a great complimentary resource for Y owners to get. Paul quite right complements John James on his excellent publication. John is a very knowlegable guy and he also produces on limited runs some parts that are interchangable with YA's and YT's including brake drums. If you are interested then it may be worthwhile contacting John.

Looking back through some earlier issues of TTT2 there is a very well researched article by Brian Rainbow in Issue 1, published in August 2010, on Brake Maintenance. It was originally presented at the T Type Rebuild Seminar on 20th March 2010.

It covers all T types from TA through to TF and therefore includes YA's, YT's and YB's.It very much reflects Brian's very thorough approach to all matters MG. Have a look by downloading the article from the website address included in Paul's note.

Really well worth looking at.
