MG MG Y Type - Y gearbox
| Gents, I have come across from the TD site looking for answers to the question of which gearbox I have in my TD (1950). Are there pictures available of the Y box? I would like to look at them to compare. The box I have does not have the locating point for the TD exhaust mounting (on side)and it has a modified bracket to secure the box to the rear mount. As I understand it the TD has a cast unit onto which the rear mount locates. Also this box had a reverse light switch mounted on the left hand side of the box standard not the TD plug. So I don't think it is a TD box but not sure what it is. Thanks in anticipation. Regards Bill C. |

| Bill You don't happen to be in Adelaide? If so you could look at a spare Y gearbox I have laying around. |
