MG MG Y Type - Y clutch cable
| I have just bought a new clutch cable (MGOCC) and it's fine but it has one locking nut at the end whereas the manual shows two. The end nut should be a 'nornmal' nut but the other (inner) one should abut against the hollow pin in the lever arm attached to the sump and should be 'curved' in some way. I am not sure if this makes sense but have a look at the manual and see what I mean compared to a new cable arrangement. Can anyone confirm that not only should there be 2 locking nuts but the inner of the 2 should be curved at the face where it abuts against the lever. Hope this makes sense! |

| Panic over I have identified the part - sadly I chucked mine away when I took the old cable off - I have now got a replacement from NTG. It's shown in the YB manual as 'nut for clutch adjuster'. Moral is be careful before you chuck old bits away!! |
