MG MG Y Type - wiper motor query

Hi

Anyone know if YA ,YB saloon wiper motor drive assy same as TF ?
Spindles ?
Cable drive ? Length same ?
Flexible outer "tubing" for cable drive same ?
Lengths of above ?

A great publication for just this sort of thing is the Alternate Parts List.

Ys and some YBs had Lucas CR.2 DA36 072547 wiper motors fitted. Later YBs had CRT.12 DA36 072821.

They are totally different to TFs which are probably more similar to those fitted to MG ZA/ZB/ZBV and MGA possibly.

If you need a CR.2 and wiper drive etc. I probably have a spare in my shop somewhere. Email me off line if you are interested please as the drive cables etc. are somewhat scarce I beleive.
