MG MG Y Type - UHK 111 Races Again 5th April
If anyone is interested, Dick Jacob's racing YB UHK 111 will (hopefully) be returning to motorsport at the Goodwood Road Racing Club memebers sprint at Goodwood racetrack this 5th April. I bought the car last summer and she has spent some months at Peter Edney being prepared to the spec she ran when she won her class in the Production Car race at Silverston in 1953. This will be her first competitive outing in over 50 years but I will be taking things slowly as she will be on a freshly rebuilt engine and I've never driven anything as old as her competively and need to get the hang of poor grip, a high centre of gravity and drum brakes! All moral support gratefully received!

Hi Marc Very best wishes for a safe and happy day. I would love to be able to watch ... but maybe if someone can take a video clip or something of you that would be cool. Sounds like a lot of fun, and I hope it goes well for you. Paul

Hi Marc, I wish you lots of fun and, like Paul, would dearly like to watch. If it helps you can imagine me sitting on the backseat giving all the moral support you need (like my son yelling "faster, faster" when we raced down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans). Yours enviously, Willem p.s. did I mention we were in a VW Passat towing a caravan at Le Mans?
