MG MG Y Type - Turn Signal for Y
I am in need of the turn signal switch that attaches to the steering column for a YT. This is probably an after market item. Does anyone know where I might purchase one?

My YT had a column mounted switch when purchased, but I found it annoying to use, so installed a Y-Saloon horn button with trafficator switch incorporated. It is a simple swap to do on the wheel, but you will need extra wires in the column loom - usually cut off short in YT's. Saloon wheel centres come up now and then on e-Bay, and I can supply a new return spring if needed through my shop at www.mgytypes.org I sold the column mounted switch to a TC owner, so can't help there.

Mel I have a couple that I have bought and reconditioned and repaired over the years. Contact me off line. These are genuine MG Y sedan/YT EXU clockwork turn signal controllers and as Tony says it is a fairly straight forward swap out to a standard Y Steering wheel. Do you also have the slip ring wire pick up half way down your steering column? Paul
