MG MG Y Type - Sun roof
| The YA is coming right along. I am now looking at the sun roof. I have all of the parts, but the sun roof was not in the car when I got it, and it had been stripped and painted. I ordered the only rubber that NTG shows. There are what looks like rivets on the back where the rubber goes. Any advice as to where the rubber goes or how it is attached would be appreciated. |

| I have stuck a length along the leading edge to butt up against the front, and another length on the rear edge that is underneath the roof. When the rear edge is 'lifted' when you lock it this rear seal comes up and stops water getting in. The front one is flush with the roof and its ends require slight trimming for the sliding bits curve. I did not use rivets just Bostic. It has lasted 15 years! Neil. |
