MG MG Y Type - Summer Tour: Last Call

The August North York Moors Tour will close to pre-entries on 25th May 2009. (See details on the Events page)

There are just 2 rooms (doubles/twins) left available at the Hotel for the touring party, so please let us know before the deadline if you wish to join the Tour.

Our YA did the 450 mile round trip for the Spring Run last week without missing a beat - so guests from the South need not feel concerned about the distances!

(The YB pick up is a different matter, it went for MOT and a brake problem and is now having outer sills made to measure before we can repossess!)

The entries for the Summer North York Moors Tour in August have now closed, with 13 Y's on parade(maybe 14 - if not it will be Jubilee BGT).

We have taken 14 rooms at the base Hotel in Hovingham and Arlene & I are busy with the route books etc.

Today we have let the hotel know that they can 'release' their remaining 3 rooms for general booking, but if you are a late booker please give us a call and we'll try and see if anything can be worked out.

Tour Participants will be receiving details in the near future and the weather gods are being appeased by various Yorkshire wicca practices!

Yours, preparing a YT for the Broughton Game show this weekend; a YB pick up still without both sills finished; and tomorrow collecting the YA from a partial body job with sills, running boards, door bottoms - hang on that's the same as Neil Cairns' tale of woe!! But she will will look lovely on the Y stand at Silverstone.

The Summer Touring party has continued to grow - post-closure - and now we have 15 fulltime participants and a likely two who will be day Tourers.

With 48 hours to go before the start can we wish the long distance travellers a safe and trouble free journey to Hovingham and the weather Gods to grant us a few periods of sunshine next week!

A report will follow in due course.....

Concur with last remark, hope that the weather holds out and all participants have excellent time.
My YB is off road after engine rebuild so the factI couldn't get time off work makes me sleep easier.
