MG MG Y Type - SU Carb float lid needed urgently

I have managed to strip the thread in my YB carb where the fuel pipe goes into the float lid via the banjo bolt. The thread is only aluminium. Presume flost lids are available - Burlen don't seem to list them only the gasket. are thewy easily available - presume this must be a commom problem.

Panic over - have found that Burlen do list them...phew thank God for that!

Preaching to the converted in your case David but you might as well also get a new gasket for the float chamber lid to bowl while you are ordering as well as lid to overflow banjo.

Not knowing what condition your float needles and seats are in (but probably original) I would buy a new set of them too. Overall, you will be then making full use of the post and packing charge.

I presume your float is OK though? Burlen do them too.
