MG MG Y Type - STELLAR PRICE FOR A YA?
| Dear All I am well aware that prices are rising but £19.5k for a YA! Have a look at the car on the Car and Classic website Reference C2422996 which is excellent and does work as I can testify having sold my TA on it. The YA is in green and cream and is registered MKA 933.I believe that it was owned by a former secretary of the MGCC Y Register who had it restored around 2001(?) by Chisbon Cars (?) for around £13k.It was a superb restoration and does look very nice now. Though I would have thought that the correct fog lamps could/should have been fitted at that price. It'll be interesting to see if it sells - I think the YT on sale at Chelsea Cars is still for sale at about £23k and that has been there for some months. I guess the key to this is ensuring that your pride and joy is valued at the going rate.I thought about that on selling the TA and realised when I checked that the valuation at the time was £2.5k less than I was asking for it! All the best Jerry |
